Finally, some good news!

Today, The Husband stayed home with The Boy. All is well now, though, and The Boy's fever is gone. He will be going back to school tomorrow. Woohoo!

While they were "off" today, The Husband and The Boy went to look at an apartment for that two-month period of time between this house and our big move. They found a nice little 2 br place that has an extra room we can use for a 3rd bedroom. The location is super convenient and I'm very excited to have this taken care of.

We are getting everything planned out for the move, to include the inevitable yard sale. I have a love/hate relationship with yard sales. I love holding them but hate the prep work. Last time we moved, we had our yard sale AFTER the move, which was neat because we actually KNEW what we needed in the new place and what we did not. This time, we are doing it prior to the move, but that is OK since we are moving back into our old house...we pretty much KNOW what we do and don't need...I think!

Tomorrow, I am taking The Girl to have her hair cut...FINALLY! We had tried to get it cut on Christmas Eve, but the stylist would not cut it. I'm glad we waited. The Girl is cutting it for Locks of Love and, although she had 10" to cut, that was about all she had! The stylist was concerned we'd cut it too short and The Girl would hate it. She said to wait a month or so. We waited almost 3 months. It has GOT to be cut...it is too long and she cannot manage it. It is all broken, too, because The Girl refuses to use a comb and, instead, tries to brush it when it is wet. *sigh* I will be sure to take lots of photos; however, being on the laptop, I am not sure if I will be able to download or post any.

  2. I love "locks of love." So sweet of her to want to do that - and to waitt 3 months for a haircut for it!

Good luck with the yard sale.

  4. I think I have said this on three other blogs tonight, but I am packing too as I move in 2 weeks but I don't think I have anything to sell so will have to haul everything with me!

Hope your move goes smoothly and you make a ton of cash at your yard sale.
