So, today is my birthday. Lucky for me, I officially became old LAST year, so I don't have to worry about that anymore! Today, I'm 41.
Funny thing about being 41. It doesn't feel any different from 40, which, to me, didn't feel much different from 30. I remember when I was younger thinking anyone over 40 was OLD.
My day started relatively well. I've been away with my kids for the past two and a half days on a camping field-trip. It was all really great until breakfast this morning. The Girl found a snake in the bathroom...on the toilet seat.
BLECH!!! Double BLECH! Icky, yucky blech!
Then, because that wasn't enough excitement for one morning, The Boy started puking. A lot. Until he was done. Then, it was dry heaves. A lot of those. They sucked. Poor guy! Then, we found something to give him. He fell asleep for about an hour and a half. When he woke up, he was fine. He's been good all day. He still has to stay home tomorrow...the whole grade knows he was puking because they were all there!
So...Happy Birthday to me. Let's hope next birthday is a bit less eventful!
Yuck! I don't know what I consider to be worse - the puking or the snake.
