Happy Chanukah!

Tonight is the first night of Chanukah. We don't have gifts for the kids for each night, so we haven't totally figured out what we're doing yet. I *think* that since Christmas falls in the middle of Chanukah that we'll give them the rest of their gifts on Christmas morning. Tonight, we gave them our gifts. I also grabbed two menorahs so that both kids could light the candles. They were super excited about that!

Typically, we give the kids one gift each for Christmas and for Chanukah. Then, Santa brings them something. We have always done it this way ~ not to be cheap, but because we never understood people who literally went broke for Christmas. This year, I admit, we did buy a little more than one thing each but they were, for the most part, small things.

The Boy got a new set of shoulder pads from us tonight. He is in seventh heaven! He's so funny...running around with them on asking us to hit him! He even put his jersey on over them!

The Girl got a cute pair of boots. No, they're not UGGS. I couldn't justify spending o over $100 on shoes she'll grow out of so soon! They're cute, though, and she loves them. We also gave her two pair of yoga pants.

I got my camera (but I got it Friday). The Husband got a whole bunch of stuff during the last three weeks, so he said take my pick and call it his gift! He doesn't celebrate Chanukah anyway, so he doesn't really care.

Happy Holidays, everyone!
