Home sick today

Friday night The Boy was supposed to have his first baseball practice. Sometime after school, he said he was not feeling quite well. We took his temp and he had a low fever. He stayed home. Saturday morning, he was feeling better. The weather was wonderful and we spent the day outside. The Husband and I spent most of the day in the garage packing, but The Boy and The Girl were running around playing.

At bedtime, Saturday night, The Boy came out of his room to say he felt funny when he was lying down. He felt warm so we took his temperature. It was over 103*! We gave him some Motrin and sent him to bed with the knowledge he'd be spending all day Sunday in bed.

Yesterday was miserable for the poor guy. He didn't sleep, but he rested all day (and burned up!). At one point during the late afternoon, his temp was over 104. We quickly got it back down under 103, but The Boy was just not happy. I ended up going in to work for a few hours to get stuff ready so I could stay home with him today. I cannot stay home tomorrow, but The Husband can.

The Boy confessed last night that the idea of lying around on the couch in front of the TV all day seemed so appealing, but was not at all what he thought it'd be! Poor guy! And, of course, that is where he is today. We have been spraying Lysol all over EVERYTHING in an attempt not to become ill ourselves!

This morning, The Boy's temp was 102.5. Let's hope he brings it down today and is only home from school one more day!

  1. Poor boy. I hope he feels better soon! Those high temps are nasty - and I feel for you, too, as worrisome as that is. Prayers to you guys.

  2. That's just awful. I hope he feels better soon. And I hope you don't catch it!
