MIA...and a PSA while I'm at it

Sorry I've been gone - there has been SO MUCH going on that I haven't had time to pop on here. (EEK!! I know - it's true, though!) First off, The Boy's team lost its playoff game. And - to be honest, I had mixed emotions. They managed to come up from a 4 run deficit to tie the game but, alas, it was not enough. I'm proud of the team but glad the season is over!

Work has been extremely hectic lately and I'm getting ready for some long awaited time off, although I'm not sure how relaxing it will be! The Kids got out of school the other day so they've been coming to work with me. The Boy has football camp, though, so he's not with me all day the way The Girl is. After tomorrow, I'll have time off (although I know I'll go in several times throughout the summer while I'm supposed to be home with my kids...)! The Boy will have me running ragged...he has camps booked EVERY WEEK from now through the middle of July with only the week of the 4th off! Most of the camps are sports camps but he is also going to a speech & debate camp. We're all really excited about that one.

The other reason I've been scarce is because I'm having some medical issues. I learned last week, by the way, that ALL WOMEN NEED TO HAVE A MAMMOGRAM AT AGE 35!! I had always thought it was 40 but apparently I was wrong! I have had one and, to be honest, it truly was not bad. Only one time did it actually hurt but the rest of the time it was merely uncomfortable. And - let's face it...the entire thing is funny as hell (once you get over the initial fear). The ladies in the (what is that room, anyway? Let's go with imaging room.) imaging room were really nice. I told them I was scared and they thought it was about the imaging results. I told them no...I was scared to death of that machine! One told me she swears she has no idea where the rumors that it is unbearable come from and that it is not all that bad. She was right. It wasn't that bad at all.

Anyway, for a while, I'll be muddling through but I'll make a point to get here more often than I have been.

  1. I'm glad you are back and I wish you luck with your medical issues. I'm hoping nothing serious.
