Where does the time go?
So I'm trying to find out where my time is going!! Now that the kids are back in school and I am going to work, it seems my days FLY by. Yesterday, I picked up the kids after work and made a quick run to the grocery. It was after 6pm when we got home! The Boy now has a friend on our street (hallelujah!) and the poor boy had come over to play but we were not home. When we got home, I was reluctant to send The Boy because it was practically dinner time! (He went anyway and had fun.)It always amazes me how quickly the days blur by. Even when I make a concerted effort to leave work early, the time flies! For instance, today, I will leave work early so I can get The Girl to gymnastics. Of course, gymnastics runs till 5:45, so again, it will be after 6 when we get home! The good news is that I have a nail appointment while The Girl is at practice! So how do you make the most of your limited family time when you never get home before evening? I'd love to hear from you.
I don't know... I feel like by the time we eat supper and clean up, it's practically bedtime. There just aren't enough hours in the day.
ReplyDeleteI agree with HTL, there are def not enough hours in the day!!! I try to always sit down with the kids to eat, turn the cell phones off, turn the tv off and just talk. Seems like its only for 20 min but it's time spent together.
ReplyDeleteWell it is just Ned and I and our time is very limited. I let him watch one tv show, we eat dinner, he has a bath and gets ready for bed and sits with me for a while. It is our nightly routine and then at the weekends, we go all out and cram as much in as possible. I don't think he feels neglected because he has never known anything different as I have always had to work. Besides which, I think we would irritate each other if we had to spend too much time with each other!
