Poetic Justice

So, I mentioned we bought a Jeep. Remember the story? Go ahead and re-read the post. I'll wait. (It's about 1/3 down in the post...past the picture of The Girl and The Dog.)

(this is me waiting while you read)

(still waiting...some of us are slower readers)

OK - finished? Good. Now, that first Jeep? The dealer was not willing to budge on the price. So, we went elsewhere (but you know that because you read the post). Today, The Husband was trolling the internet and decided to look and see if that dealer had sold the Jeep yet. Guess what. It's still there! Guess what else. The price is lower! In fact, it is now for sale for $1000 less than what we offered! They would not take $999 off the price three weeks ago, but they've since lowered the price by over twice that amount!

Personally, I find this hysterically funny, especially since this lower price is still more than what we paid for the Jeep we own. Also, we ended up with a soft top, which we now realize is much easier to deal with than a hard top.

Hope that idiot salesman and his finance buddy learned a lesson!

  1. Dontcha just love the "sweet revenge" .... even if you (and us) are the only ones that really know about it.

Now I'd probably be a real b*tch and drive my NEW jeep over to the dealer and check out the jeep and see if they made any other changes. Then when the salesman came over, I'd remind him that 3 weeks ago they wouldn't take that higher amount and then say you got an even better one for even less down the street

  2. I would say car dealers are just NOT in the position to be pickey right now...

  4. I have to agree with Kat - drive on by and toot your horn - so to speak.

And with Lizzy - picky = hungry come payday.

  5. Haha, what a great story. You totally won in the end. That's awesome. :)

Sorry it's taken me so long to respond back to you about what inspiring words I have used in the past. I don't have my own computer at home and sometimes I just don't get the chance to blog as much as I'd like when I finaly do get to one. Grr. Anyways! Here are a few words that I have used in the past: Joy, Praise, Resolute, Refine, and once when I was really dealing with some heavy issues, I used the phrase "Wounded Soul" and used that year to really discover how great God can be in the midst of my pain.
