It's time for Candid Carrie's Friday Foto Finish Fiesta! It's WAY fun to post to and a lot of fun to follow as well.
This week we had a snowday. When you're a kid, you live for snowdays. As an adult...not so much! It didn't help that the snowday was on a day the kids were out of school anyway! I was supposed to work, but didn't have to. Nice to have the day off, but I'd have had the kids all day anyway!
This is what I woke up to. It is the view out my front door.
Beautiful, isn't it? Right away, The Husband decided to wake the kids. Personally, I'd have let them sleep in. Nevertheless, we were all up, so the kids wanted to go out and play. I know I've mentioned we live in the south. There isn't much snow here so we do not have appropriate clothing for this type of weather. We grabbed what we had and out we went.
BAM! How do you resist such an awesome and easy shot?! It wasn't long before both The Dog and The Husband got involved. The Dog LOVES the snow. A few years ago, we were visiting my mother-in-law and we had 2 feet of snow! The Dog was in heaven!
Finally, The Girl made a snow angel. Then, it was work time. We do not own a shovel, so The Husband had to clean the driveway with a broom! The snow is pretty light, though, so it worked.
Don't forget to check out the other Friday Foto Finish Fiesta peeps!

yeah for snow!!!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I'm glad y'all got some - they said we would but we didn't. I had some disappointed children.
ReplyDeleteI love that view from your front door! Snow is the best, I am happy I live somewhere where it snows in the winter. Even if I still have to go to work!
ReplyDeleteLooks as though a lot of fun is being had!!
ReplyDeleteWe haven't had much snow at all this winter. Today we have rain, which may turn to snow tomorrow.
I'm just happy that the weather is doing something other than being sunny and dry ... we really need the moisture.
Great photos, btw !!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like fun. I wish we would get at least a teeny bit of snow.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! Snow days are a blast!
ReplyDeleteWe have yet to have a snow day...my kids aren't happy :)

ReplyDeleteIt looks like they made the most of the day off. That first picture is beautiful.

Great Snowy photos!
ReplyDeleteWhat a winter wonderland. Beautiful. Thanks for visiting me on my big, bloggy day!
ReplyDeleteHey there Friendly Freeul! You can tell that is not the FIRST time your husband lobbed a snowball! He's got perfect form and I would certainly give him a ten for just the right stance! I love a good snow day especially when they declare it far enough in advance!
ReplyDeleteHappy Fx4 to you and all your snow angels.
;)
Carrie
It's beautiful! We haven't had any actual snow days here but they are predicting a fair amount of snow for tonight/tomorrow so we'll see... :)
