Yesterday was a sports-filled day at our home. We started early in the morning with a drive to The Girl's gymnastics meet. It was her third meet of the season. She did pretty well, too; however, she was not pleased with herself. Her first event was bars, on which she scored an 8.300. Next came beam, on which she scored an 8.575. On floor, she had one pretty big "error" or deduction and scored an 8.350. She finished up on vault, where she scored an 8.850. Her All-Around was a 34.075, which is her highest AA to date.
After the meet, we rushed home to eat and change before heading out again. My best friend from high school was in town to run a mini-marathon. We picked her up after the meet (and the run) and, after lunch, headed to the field for The Boy's final football game of the season. The game did not go too well and The Boy's team lost. It was sad because, as I said, it was the last game. Next year, we are hoping for a better season.
