9:50am - The Girl..."Mom, can we have ice cream for snack?"
10:00am - The Boy..."Mom, can I have apples and honey for snack?"
noonish - The Girl..."Do you put the pizza on the rack or a pan?"
I think that was all. I called to tell them I was on my way home and The Boy asked "Can't you stay later?" LOL! Apparently, they PLAYED all day. They watched an hour of TV but that was all...the rest of the time, they were engaged with each other and they played games. When I got home, the kids asked the sitter to play Connect Four. There was a full-blown tournament that even I got involved in. The sitter was so much fun - and she did not mind staying later to play with the kids. The Husband got home about 30 min later and I took the sitter home. On the drive, she said she'd had a good time as well and the kids were fun to babysit...MUSIC to my ears!
While kids were sad to see the sitter leave today, they are super excited that she is coming back tomorrow night so The Husband and I can go out for our anniversary dinner.
Have I mentioned how much I love the babysitter?!

Ooh, sounds like you will have a nice night out thanks to the babysitter. She must be your new best friend!
ReplyDeleteDoes this mean my "job" may be in jeopardy?

Happy Anniversary! Glad you have found such a great baby sitter.
ReplyDeleteSorry The Girl didn't do a handstand on the beach. There will plenty at her first gymnastics competition. I look forward to seeing those! :)
Hope you have a great dinner with the hubby. Pick a really fabulous restaurant - there are lots to choose from.
ReplyDeleteOh a good sitter is worth her WEIGHT in SOLID GOLD!!!!
ReplyDeleteFinding a good babysitter is like finding a diamond in the rough!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you...
